Frequently Asked Questions

Welcome to our Frequently Asked Questions section. Here you can find answers to many common queries. If you have a question which is not answered here, please Contact Us and we’ll do our best to send you an answer as soon as possible! If you receive any error messages or emails, please use any relevent details in your message.

About Us

What do you offer that other advice sites don’t?

Our articles are researched and written exclusively by us every month. This means that all our facts and figures are completely up to date all of the time – we want to make those ten year-old business advice books a thing of the past. We answer the questions that YOU want to know the answers to, rather that a bunch of generic top-level figures offered by many other places. Also, all of the recommendations and research we produce are completely unbiased by sponsoring or advertisements, so you know can trust our articles 100%.

How often do you publish new articles?

Currently we aim to provide a completely new full article every month. Alongside this, we will keep our old articles up to date along the way to ensure that the advice they provide never expires.

I’m not from the United Kingdom, should I still register?

Of course! Although some topics may focus on UK companies and our price comparisons will be in Pounds (£), the language of business is a universal one, and so a lot our advice applies no matter where you are. Also it’s worth noting that there are many currency conversion websites you can use to convert our figures to whichever denomination you need.

I have an idea for one of your articles, would you like to hear it?

Definately. We’d love to hear from you regarding any suggestions for future articles. We are writing material for YOU after all, so answering the most important questions from our members is paramount. Feel free to use our contact page to get in touch.

I have a product/service you may like to review, should I get in touch?

Again, definately. We would love to hear from any businesses that offer products/services that may be of interest to our members. If you supply us with some basic information and a website address, we will try to include any relevent businesses in our articles.

Are my membership details safe?

Absolutely. Our database is password protected and can only be accessed by our site administrator. In addition, much of the data we store is encrypted as an extra precaution.

Technical Help

The website doesn’t display properly, what’s wrong?

Our site uses up-to-date style standards that may be incompatible with older browsers. If possible you should upgrade your browser to Internet Explorer 9 or ideally Firefox. Alternatively you may have javascript disabled in your browser, enabling this may fix your problems.

I have a valid account but cannot sign in!

This is usually due to having Javascript and/or cookies disabled in your browser. If you use Firefox, click here for a quick guide to enable cookies, and here for one on how to enable Javascript. Likewise if you use Internet Explorer, a cookies guide is here and a Javascript one can be found here.

Form fields are coloured red when I fill them in, what does this mean?

The red highlighting means that you have entered an illegal character into the box (such as a ‘<‘ or ‘[‘ symbol). This varies for each field but a good rule of thumb is to stick to using uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, dashes and underscores. If your name or company’s name contains one of these illegal characters and we have made a mistake by blocking it, please let us know and we will update it immediately.
